Flexible curriculum options

Bethune Memorial School offers a 4 year curriculum from grades 9-12, summer classes, online courses and other tutoring programs for different student needs. With a flexible and convenient admission time, students may choose to enroll during any semester (five semesters a year).

University Preparation Counselling

After graduation, a team of teachers will help students apply for their ideal universities and provide advice to students. Our student guidance team also helps guide international students through the application process for student or work visas.

Student Care

At Bethune Memorial School, there are a variety of after-school activities for students to choose from to better enable students to promote cultural exchanges between China and the Canada, and to help students become independent leaders. The school also invests heavily to build student dormitories for international students to provide a safe and comfortable living environment.

Quality Small Class teaching

With less than 25 students per class, our classes have a low teacher to student ratio of 1:20. Smaller class sizes and highly qualified teachers ensure that students get the most out of their education. In a smaller class, each individual student gets attention from the teacher and are able to learn more efficiently. Reports are sent to parents 3 times per semester, so parents can monitor students learning progress. Our school staff our proficient in multiple languages, making it easier to communicate with parents.

Entry Requirements

Students who participate in this program do not need IELTS, TOEFL, CAEL or other language scores, they are only required to provide average high school grades and indicate the hope of studying in universities. Students of Bethune Memorial School can apply for universities (undergraduate) for free with their high school grades.

Program Courses

The Basic English Training Program is divided into two courses: the Language course and English proficiency test preparation course (Choose one: IELTS, TOEFL, CAEL). The length of the language course depends on the students' English level, and the English proficiency test preparation course lasts for 12 weeks...

CURRICULUM

High School Credit Courses

Third year Junior High School students to High School students from China who can apply for enrollment to Bethune Memorial School and obtain the Ontario Secondary School Diploma after graduating.

Foundation Program

The Foundation program is designed for students preparing to apply for universities in Canada, the United States and other English-speaking countries. Third year high school students from China can apply for the Bethune Memorial High School Foundation Program, complete 6 prepatory credits and earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

AP Courses (Advanced Placement)

AP courses offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. These courses include: Mathematics, Computer Sciences, English, etc., and is recognized by universities in the United States and Canada.

ESL Intensive English Training Program

From beginner level to advanced level, our Intensive English Training Program meets the needs of students with different levels of English. Students can apply during admission times - 6 times a year (September, November, January, April, July, August).
